THE HEALING HEART OF HELENSVILLE

Evidently the statistic here in New Zealand is one of the greatest for Suicides.  I would like to talk a little bit about this.

In little ole Helensville itself we have had some of these tragic events happen.  The latest is a young female of only 32 years of age.  We do not understand why these talented people do these things.  Whether it is by hanging or any type of suicide why, why and why again.......

We do not understand what is going on in their heads.  If only they would talk to someone, whether it be a friend, their mother, father, neighbour.  Someone.  Just talk.  Ask for advice:  what, where or how can I remedy this situation.

We aren't mind readers and we often say:  if only I rang her, or text her.  I wish I.......................  If only.........................

Read the signs if you can.  You see these troubled people and your heart bleeds for them, but do you say anything.  It's only after the tragic event that you say  IF ONLY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But it's too late by then, the damage is done.

Well people I say to you - make that phone call, send a card, a text, see them in the street and smile and say a simple hello.

A smile is infectious on its own.  Just a simple smile and if you can say a simple word.  HELLO
